(a) The specification has been revised to allow nondestructive electric testing In lieu of hydrostatic testing. when such alternative testing is accepted by the purchaser, for a broader range of pipe. In the 2019 Edition, nondestructive electric testing was permitted only for schedule 10 pipe, NPS ¾ to NPS 5, inclusive.
(b) ASTM E570 has been added as a nondestructive test option, and a weld seam nondestructive test requirement including hot-stretch reducing mill exception has been added.
